Adrien was among the first graduating class of the University of Calgary Veterinary Medicine in 2012. She first worked emergency before moving to Spruce Grove in 2013.

She and her husband bought the clinic in 2020 and is honored to be working with such a great team.

She lives with her husband, two step sons, two dogs and two cats.

Dr. Christie Gingras graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine, Saskatoon in 2000. She has been practicing at the Spruce Grove Veterinary Clinic nearly 21 years.

She has a special interest in ophthalmology, internal medicine, dentistry, and soft tissue surgery. She has served on the board of the Animal Cancer Therapy Subsidization Society (ACTSS) and is presently on the board of the Edmonton Association of Small Animal Veterinarians (EASAV).

She shares 2 teenagers with her husband, as well as a golden doodle named Ruby, orange tabby named Melvin and a guinea pig named Strawberry.

In her leisure time she enjoys camping, hiking, skiing, travelling and watching soccer games.

Dr. Renate Pfeifer grew up on a farm not far from Spruce Grove where she developed her appreciation of nature. She was drawn to veterinary medicine because of her love of animals. She graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003. Prior to that she earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alberta. Upon graduating, Dr. Pfeifer worked at a small animal practice in Saskatchewan for three years before returning to Alberta to be closer to family. She has enjoyed working for the Spruce Grove Veterinary Clinic since 2007.

Outside of work, she likes reading, knitting, and spending time with her husband, two children, a dog, four cats, a gecko, and many fish.

Dr. Cathy Saker graduated from UCVM in Saskatoon in 2003 and has been practicing at Spruce Grove Veterinary Clinic since 2009. She shares her home with her husband, an avid outdoorsman, 2 active teenage daughters, a golden retriever, 3 cats and 3 horses on an acreage north of Spruce Grove.

Dr. Cheryl Lewis graduated from WCVM in 1997, and joined Spruce Grove Vet in 2004. Currently she is the vice-president of the Edmonton Association of Small Animal Veterinarians. She is also a member of AAFP (American Association of Feline Practitioners) and has completed their cat friendly certificate program. Cheryl is an avid gardener, and the proud pet parent of 3 cats, 19 fish and a hamster. In her spare time, she loves reading, snorkeling, travelling, photography and is a supporter of wetland conservation.

Dr. Hanna obtained his DVM degree from the Suez Canal University, Egypt back in 2003. Following his graduation he worked in veterinary field for six years, then in 2008 he obtained a diploma in Animal Microbiology. In 2011 he decided to move to Canada and attended a program for foreign trained veterinarians offered in Edmonton. The following year he volunteered at the Edmonton Humane Society and had an amazing experience practicing his medicine and surgery. Come 2015, he had the opportunity to work in busy emergency hospital in southern alberta for many years. Dr. Hanna has a special interest in orthopedic surgery and was certified to perform TPLO (tibial plateau leveling osteotomy) procedures in 2021. We are so lucky to have him here and his biggest fields of interest and skills are in Surgery and ultrasound. If you catch him on a day off, you will find him enjoying his leisure time reading, traveling, and spending as much time as he can with his beautiful wife and two young daughters. Dr. Hanna is happily accepting new clients.
